THE SOPRANOS ... a critically acclaimed, darkly humourous and often violent
look at a New Jersey family, whose patriarch happens to be a mob boss - Tony Soprano.

Episode 1:  The Sopranos (pilot)
Suffering a series of mystery anxiety attacks, New Jersey suburbanite and 'waste
management consultant' Tony Soprano agrees to see a psychiatrist, Dr. Jennifer Melfi.
Tony explains how his attacks began after a family of ducks, who had been living in
his swimming pool, flew away.  He also starts giving details ahout his life
as a 'family man' with a slew or problems at home and at work.
Tony's wife Carmela and daughter Meadow aren't getting along.
Volatile Uncle Junior wants to whack an enemy.
Tony's nephew Christopher is  embarrassing the family with his heavy-handed tactics.
And last but not least, Tony's mother is giving him a serious guilt trip
for trying to move her to a posh 'retirement community'.

Episode 2:  46 Long
Giacomo 'Jackie' Aprile, acting boss of the family, is deathly ill with cancer -
and Tony's about to get into a power struggle with Uncle Junior he doesn't even want.
Tony finally gets Livia to live in the retirement community after much fuss.
Whereas Christopher and his associate Brendan agree to pay Uncle Junior a 15K 'tribute'
for accidentally jacking a Junior-protected truck full of DVD's, the none-too-bright Brendan
hits the same trucking company again - this time ending up with a casualty
and some gorgeous Italian suits.

Episode 3:  Denial, Anger, Acceptance
Unbeknownst to her parents, Meadow and her friend Hunter score some
crystal meth from Brendan and Christopher to help them study.
The boys return the hijacked truck, and Tony visits Jackie
in hospital, bringing along a 'special' nurse.
Meanwhile, Junior's associate Mikey Palmice is stirring things up by
making Junior think Tony wants to be next in line when Jackie kicks it.
